Tuition and Fees at the NCSU College of Textiles

Each student accepted as an ITT Fellow will be awarded
a full tuition-and-fees scholarship and a non-service fellowship. These awards will be funded by member company contributions that have been made in support of the research and education programs of the Institute. Each ITT fellowship provides the student with a stipend for the nine months of the academic year. Students also may apply for Federal aid in the form of students loans through NCSU.

ITT Fellowship

Fellowships currently total $12,000 for the 9 months of the fall and spring semesters of the academic program. These fellowships require no service, such as assistance with laboratory work or teaching, and are continued for the second year, provided the student's performance during the first year is satisfactory. All students are expected to maintain a minimum average of B in the course work. Special assistance is offered where needed. If at the end of the first year the required average is not attained, the fellowship cannot be renewed for the second year.

Summer Internships

In addition summer internships we provide students with an opportunity to earn several thousand dollars conducting a research project for a textile company, a typical internship is worth approximately $6500 however the actual amount varies between employers. The Institute assists in locating summer internship opportunities, but the student will have the final responsibility for securing a summer internship offer. Those students who are industrial fellows will be expected to do their summer internship with their sponsor company.
