Abstract: As the demand for synthetic fibers and faster processing speeds continues to rise, so does the need for durable antistatic treatments. Static accumulation during processing can cause clinging and irregularities in yarns, fabrics and films. Static accumulation in end products can cause discomfort from static discharge or clinging. Current durable antistatic treatments utilize the method of increasing the moisture regain of the material’s surface to assist in the dissipation of static.
